Mission:

My name is Doris Cerna, a Peruvian American small business owner in Silicon Valley, California. After years of working professionally as a Preschool Teacher and Administrator of my own school, I decided to pursue my passion for fashion and good clothing, so in 2016 I founded Sumaq Textiles, a platform to promote and sell high quality Peruvian textiles made of alpaca wool, with the support of the prestigious Peruvian brand Incalpaca and other high-level artisans.
Our purpose is to provide stylish, casual, healthy and high-quality accessories while using eco-friendly practices to design and produce our various product lines. We are committed to preserving the environment by encouraging customers to make environmentally conscious clothing and accessories purchases, as well as supporting Peruvian artisans by giving them the opportunity to introduce their excellent work in other markets where more people can appreciate not only quality clothing but also the ancient culture they come from.

Our vision is to reach out a larger market aimed at all ages by adding new product lines constantly from the diverse Peruvian arts and crafts.
